School starts August 26, The Y offers a great licensed before and after school program for your school-age child, ages K thru 5th grade. In our structured program children have a great experience doing lots of fun things like arts and crafts, organized sports and games, special theme parties and much more, all under the supervision of trained YMCA staff who really care about kids!

We provide transportation to and from school and we service all the schools in the Berwick Area School District, plus Huntington Mills and Hunlock Creek in the Northwest School District. When school is delayed, kids are dismissed early or school cancelled due to inclement weather you have no worries, we handle it! Act 80 days or In-service Days are also included in this program. We also take occasional field trips on days off school. You can rest assured that your child has guidance, homework supervision, is making friends, and learning and incorporating our four core values of Honesty, Respect, Caring and Responsibility into their every day lives, all in the safe nurturing atmosphere only the YMCA can provide.

Fun Days
Scheduled Days Off School Program for Grades K-8

We schedule a Fun Day each time the kids are off school. Each fun day features a special event or trip and constructive activities kids are sure to enjoy. Parents can rest assured knowing their children are in a safe environment and taking part in fun, constructive activities. We also have Fun Days on those last minute school closings for bad weather. Parents may register their child that morning on their way to work and know they are in good hands.
