Y-Walkers

The Berwick Area YMCA would like to invite our members to join Y-Walkers, our walking club. The club leaves the YMCA at 9:00 am to take a brisk walk around Berwick. Various walking courses and lengths of the daily walk will be featured. This free program is open to YMCA members only.

Whether you're trying to lose weight, build muscle, strengthen your heart and lungs, or a combination of all three, sign up for a variety of classes and have fun at the same time! All classes include ab workout and strength training.


All Group Exercise Fees: Free to members. Non-members: 3days/$40; 2days/$30


Yoga & Absolutions Fees: Free to members. Non-members: $30
Self-Defense Fee:
Members: $25 Non-members: $50 (5 week class)

Class Descriptions

Adult Body Pump - A full hour of weights, bands and medicine balls. This high impact class incorporates the use of strength training exercises to melt off body fat and get you toned.


Cardio Blast - High impact aerobics with stability ball.


Low Impact - Designed for beginners and seniors. This class uses weights and resistance bands in addition to aerobics exercise.


Cardio Kickboxing - This class combines kickboxing/boxing techniques that will elevate your heart rate and tone/strengthen your muscles. Great conditioning class for all levels. You work at your own fighting pace.


Adult Circuit Training - A full body workout including high impact aerobic moves as well as full body strength training exercise.


NEW!! Zumba - Ditch the workout and join the party. Zumba is a new fitness craze that turns your ho-hum workout into a dance party. In this high intensity workout you will learn different latin dance moves that will give you an excellent cardio workout.


Boot Camp - This is a workout like you have never experienced before. Using medicine balls, bands, jumping jacks and push-ups, we'll have you kicking butt in the gym, military style.


Pilates - This class will challenge your core muscles. Along with working your abs and core, you will sculpt your whole body. This class includes the use of medicine balls, and exercise bands, and will have you sweating it up in the early morning.


Yoga - Enjoy the rewards of greater health, vitality, and openness through yoga. We use deep breathing, strengthening, relaxation and stretching in the yoga postures. This class is done on mats. Join us and learn more about how yoga can improve your health.


Absolutions - Join Eli for an exciting abs class. This class is 30 minutes and includes a variety of invigorating exercises to tighten your core.


Self Defense - This class covers the fundamentals of self-defense and is perfect for beginners. You will learn basic boxing, Jujitsu and karate techniques to protect yourself.
