Since 1982, Kynder Kapers, the YMCA’s preschool program, has been mixing socialization skills and kindergarten readiness with fun for 3-5 year olds during the school year, September through May. Daily activities including storytime, singing, and tablework all revolve around a daily theme stressing colors, numbers, shapes, holidays, seasons, or reading readiness. Free play, calendar recognition, and snacktime are also featured. Special annual events include: holiday celebrations, Teddy Bear Picnic, Rockin’ PJ Bash, Mother’s Day Picnic Lunch, Valentine Box Decorating, and field trips…just to name a few. Free swim is also held several times during the school year.
Kynder Kapers I for younger children, ages 3 and 4, meets Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 to 11:30am.

- Non-Members: $94 monthly
Kynder Kapers II for pre-kindergarteners, ages 4 and 5, meets each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 to 11:30 am. In addition to the above mentioned curriculum, letter recognition and more reading readiness skills are featured in KKII.
